Statement

The following statement was provided by the mediator.

I am in private practice, almost exclusively in the area of family, in North Kansas City, MO. I have spoken at several seminars on family law, mediation and children's topics sponsored by The Missouri Bar, Clay County Bar Association and the Association of Missouri Mediators. In 1995 I first trained in mediation techniques and now have a significant portion of my practice devoted to assisting individuals resolve their own disputes through mediation in family law and in civil litigation. I am presently a mediator for the Clay County Office of Dispute Resolution and M.A.R.C.H. (Mediation Achieving Results for Children) in modification and paternity matters. In 2001 I obtained training as a civil arbitrator from the University of Missouri at Columbia and have received over 150 hours of continuing training in the area of mediation. I also have extensive background and training, through The Missouri Bar, as a guardian ad litem in the State of Missouri.
