Statement

The following statement was provided by the mediator.

I have been an attorney for 30 years and a mediator for fourteen years, both privately and through court-sponsored programs, with an emphasis on family law. Over this period of time I have come to appreciate the economic and emotional benefits of a mediated settlement for the parties over a trial or even a settlement reached on the courthouse steps. More importantly, it is certainly best for the children and helps you set a good example for your children and remove stress from their lives as well as from your own. Based on my experience in over 500 mediations to date, I can assist your family in finding the most effective solution for your individual situation. My experience as an attorney will assure that you also address all necessary issues in a manner acceptable to the court, and my years serving as a court-appointed guardian ad litem for children in family court will create a child-centered atmosphere.
