Victims of Juvenile Crime

Rights of Victims of Juvenile Crime

Crime victims have rights under Missouri's state constitution. A brochure fully explaining the rights of victims of juvenile crime is available. Crime victims can receive notification about the status of a case by submitting their current address and telephone number to the Clay County Juvenile Office (contact information will be kept confidential). Crime victims can also receive information about their options for collecting restitution, including the Missouri Crime Victims Compensation Fund. For more information, contact the Clay County Juvenile Office at 816-736-8400 or email kathleen dot bird at courts dot mo dot gov.
