Children's Justice Center Upgrades Play Area

Children visiting the Children's Justice Center are greeted with a new reception play area, complete with toys, activities and a model train set. They may arrive at the building accompanying adults conducting business on the premises or may be awaiting an appearance in Juvenile Court. "Engaging the minds of children and directing their energy in playful ways helps relieve the stress of visiting the Children's Justice Center." according to Janet Rogers, Clay County Juvenile Officer. The new equipment was recently installed through funding provided by The Transitions Center and the Juvenile Officer.
